Add the Focal Spot Analyzer to Any CCD Camera Compact, laser beam sampler/attenuator designed for camera-based profiling systems. | Published November 5, 2008 Ophir-Spiricon (Logan, UT) announced the YAG Focal Spot Analyzer, a real-time system for measuring focus spot characteristics of high power lasers. The Focal Spot Analyzer is a compact, laser beam sampler/attenuator for camera-based laser-beam profiling systems. The Focal Spot Analyzer attenuates high power, 1064nm YAG lasers with short, compact path lengths, from 50 to 200mm. It is designed for material processing applications, which include drilling, ablating, and marking. Available immediately, the Focal Spot Analyzer supports powers levels from <1 to 400W and focal spot sizes as small as 25µm. It has adjustable attenuation up to 1 x 10^-10. In addition to measuring focal spot characteristics, it also measures how focal distance shifts with power. The Focal Spot Analyzer is a C-mount unit that can be added to any CCD camera.
