Tektronix Reveals DisplayPort Transmitter Test Automation

By DE Editors

Tektronix, Inc. (Beaverton, OR) announced DPO-DISPLAYPORT-Tx early adopter software, which provides automated transmitter compliance testing that fully implements and automates the tests identified in the DisplayPort physical layer source compliance test specification.

The new DPO-DISPLAYPORT-Tx software adds predefined test sets that are automatically executed, reducing test time and minimizing user intervention. The software, which adds automation support for all of the required transmitter test measurements, runs on the DPOJET Jitter and Eye Diagram Analysis software application for DPO7000 and DPO/DSA70000 Series oscilloscopes.

DisplayPort 1.1 is the new digital display interface technology for computers and monitors aimed at lower implementation costs is designed to replace LVDS, DVI, and eventually VGA. The DSA70804 or DPO70804 8 GHz oscilloscopes are the primary instrument for DisplayPort transmitter testing and provide the best combination of performance, feature set, and analysis using DPOJET software.

DPO-DISPLAYPORT-Tx, which helps to quickly validate and debug ICs, motherboards, and graphic-card designs and compliance test against the DisplayPort 1.1 standard, is available for download free of charge from Tektronix.
