Supermicro Debuts New Virtualization Solutions at VMworld

Supermicro, a provider in high-performance, high-efficiency server, storage technology, will debut its new Ultra Series high memory capacity servers at VMworld 2014 in San Francisco this week. The servers are NVMe enabled and have 24x DIMM memory. The company is also featuring its 6x HDD/SSD SuperBlade solutions and the 2U TwinPro EVO: RAIL hyper-converged infrastructure appliance.

The EVO: RAIL is designed to accelerate deployment and optimize performance of virtualized environments, the company states. It features redundant hot-swap titanium level, high-efficiency digital power supplies in a 4-node dual processor server appliance.  It supports up to 100 general purpose server virtual machines, 250 virtual desktop machines as well as next generation processor and advanced I/O technologies.
