NYPA Selects FLOW-3D to Study Water Flow at Niagara Falls

By DE Editors

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has chosen Flow Science’s FLOW-3D as its simulation software for studying water flows at its various hydropower facilities in New York State. NYPA intends to use the software extensively to enhance modeling capabilities for its Niagara Power Project, and plans to expand its use to other projects and facilities.

“We’re looking forward to helping the Authority use FLOW-3D to assess safety conditions and propose new hydraulic designs with greater certainty,” said David Souders, Flow Science’s vice president of sales, marketing and customer support.
