NVIDIA CUDA Recognized with Supercomputing Industry Awards

By DE Editors

Every year at the Supercomputing (SC08) convention, (held in Austin, TX, in Nov. 2008) the organizing committee and media partners award outstanding high-performance computing (HPC) research and achievements.

This year, NVIDIA Tesla GPUs and the NVIDIA CUDA architecture from NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) were recognized in multiple categories, which NVIDIA says indicates the significant impact that that GPU computing technology is making in the HPC industry.

NVIDIA CUDA technology continues to transform the HPC industry through providing scientists, researchers, engineers, and developers with access to the massively parallel processing architecture of the GPU through industry languages such as C, Fortran, Java, and Python.
