DataNumen released the newest version of DataNumen DWG Recovery, a program for damaged or corrupted DWG files created with AutoCAD.
DWG Recovery can fix more than 50 types of objects in files, including block, point, link arc and circle. It can also recover deleted objects, the company states. Users can also create DXF files, allowing recovered files to be used in AutoCAD and other third-party applications. The updates in version 1.5 are the ability to recover files from AutoCAD Release 14 through 2003 and some minor bug fixes.
The software also works with modern drives, plus CDs, floppy and zip disks for file recovery. It is fully integrated into the Windows Explorer context menu, and supports Windows operating systems.
Registered users can run the software in batch mode to fix a number of DWG files, and it supports drag and drop operations. DWG Recovery is available for a free trial download. Single and multi-user licenses are available.
