NextComputing has added the Intel Xeon E5-2600v2 processor product family to its line of portable workstations, compact towers, and high-density rack-mount computers. The new processors offer up to twelve processor cores per CPU, allowing users to work faster and more efficiently than previously possible, the company says.
All-in-one, portable systems like the Radius EX support single- or dual-processor Intel Xeon E5-2600v2 configurations, while ruggedized systems such as the Vigor EX offer further environmental protection against shock, vibration, and dust for mission-critical computing, primarily for military/intelligence operations and oil/gas remote data management.
The new processors are also available in the company's Nucleus RM series of small form-factor rack systems and its compact tower systems.
"When looking at our history helping our customers solve their toughest mobile computing problems, it's clear that Intel's products have been a huge factor in our and our customers' successes," says Bob Labadini, president and CTO of NextComputing. "The latest release of the Intel Xeon E5-2600v2 processor product family continues this tradition, bringing the best possible performance which we design into our customizable, small form-factor systems. We expect customers in all of our main markets to see noticeable improvements in how they do business by leveraging this technology."
