Canon Offers DR-G1130 and DR-G1100 Production Document Scanners

New imageFORMULA production document scanners help provide businesses with improved efficiency.

| Published March 4, 2013

Canon U.S.A. announced two new imageFORMULA production document scanners, the DR-G1130 and DR-G1100. These scanners have been designed to generate both high-speed and high-quality imaging, while being able to withstand the day-to-day rigors of production-level scanning.

"Canon knows there is a demand for reliability when it concerns production-level document scanning for businesses," said Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A. "These new imageFORMULA document scanners will provide companies with the flexibility and the reliability to reduce production costs and save time, all while consistently delivering outstanding speed and robust image quality."

The DR-G1130 scans up to 130 pages-per-minute (ppm), while the DR-G1100 scans up to 100 ppm, scanning both sides in a single pass, and can scan in color, grayscale or black-and-white. For added productivity, both the DR-G1130 and DR-G1100 feature an Automatic Document Feeder that can handle up to 500 pages.

With the Advanced Feeding Mechanism, the scanners have been specifically engineered to help reduce labor-intensive tasks such as pre-sorting different forms of media. Both have the ability to detect double feeds to prevent a paper jam for added workflow efficiency.

Both scanners are members of Canon's Generation Green program. Both models meet and adhere to ENERGY STAR guidelines, as well as the EU RoHS and WEEE directives for reduction of hazardous substances and waste products.
