Geometric to Launch CAMWorks 2013

Solution includes a Synchronous Machining Model and enhanced user interface.

| Published January 9, 2013

Geometric will launch the latest version of its solids-based CNC programming solution, CAMWorks 2013, at the SolidWorks World 2013 later this month.

CAMWorks 2013 features a new Synchronous Machining Module (SMM), including intricate control on the sub-spindle operations. The solution also has an enhanced user interface for easier access to improve productivity, the company says.

New APIs have been added, including one that helps interpret product and manufacturing information (PMI) data for advanced users to automate significant portions of their design-to-manufacture life cycle.

"Some early feedback on CAMWorks 2013 from our loyal customer base confirms that the release lives up to our philosophy of 'program fast, machine faster,'" says Sameer Kondejkar, senior director and business unit head, Geometry Technology Solutions. "SolidWorks World 2013 is a perfect platform to announce the arrival of the latest release of CAMWorks, since this is where the journey began 15 years ago."
