Graebert Announces 2013 Release of ARES Commander Edition

Available in 14 languages for Windows 8, Mac OS and Linux.

| Published December 7, 2012

Graebert announced the immediate release of ARES Commander Edition 2013. ARES Commander Edition is based on the same ARES engine powering DraftSight from Dassault Systemes and CorelCAD from Corel, as well as other branded solutions. The software is DWG-compatible with 3D modeling features and a comprehensive programming environment.

"We have been partnering with OEMs for years, building powerful solutions based on ARES Commander Edition," said Wilfried Graebert, CEO of Graebert.  "Specific requirements from our OEM clients influenced the development of ARES Commander Edition 2013. With these enhancements, the addition of support for Microsoft Windows 8 and the Mountain Lion version of Mac OS, plus a new 64-bit version for Windows 7 and 8, ARES Commander Edition continues to provide end users with cutting-edge technology, making it one of the best platforms in the industry."

Support for reading DWG 2013 files has been added to version 2013. The software currently supports writing files in DWG 2012 and earlier DWG formats. The solution also now includes an in-place text editor, and new functionality in the viewport command. Rectangular, elliptical, and freehand clouds can be used to accentuate drawing areas and to indicate that certain areas require or contain revisions.
