Cortona3D has released two new products, RapidDeveloper and Cortona2D EditorPro, along with the latest version of its technical authoring software, RapidAuthor 6.3. RapidDeveloper is a complementary product to Cortona3D's RapidAuthor tools to create interactive 3D documentation. It enables RapidAuthor users to customize the data import process and the output format for RapidAuthor projects. It consists of two products: RapidConfiguration and RapidSpecification. The solution gives users the ability to customize the look and feel of their documentation through customized templates, and to customize and map the CAD metadata for re-use in the document. The latest release of the RapidAuthor tool improves its 2D editor capabilities with the launch of the Cortona2D EditorPro. Although included in the RapidAuthor package, the Cortona2D EditorPro is available as a standalone product as well. It enables users to manipulate and create 2D images, and includes a visual interface for editing hotspot properties; a comprehensive context menu to add layers and edit their properties; the ability to group objects; and property bundles that enable users to define line, shape, text and marker property sets (bundles), assign a property bundle to object(s), select objects by property bundle, and to exchange property bundles between computers. The RapidAuthor Document Editor now supports a 64-bit version, and features new supported CAD formats, including Autodesk Inventor 2013 and Creo Parametric 2.0. For more information, visit Cortona3D.
