Tech Soft 3D Releases HOOPS Communicator

Add 3D CAD data viewing inspection and collaboration to cloud and mobile software applications.

| Published December 5, 2012

Tech Soft 3D announced the release of HOOPS Communicator, a software solution for developers of cloud-based manufacturing applications. Software companies can enable their users to view, inspect and share 3D CAD data on the fly, without any specialized 3D expertise, the company says.

HOOPS Communicator is delivered as a complete toolkit. Key features include support for all major MCAD formats including CATIA, JT, Pro/E and SolidWorks files; output into several lightweight-viewing formats, including 3D PDF; and production of standard formats for data archiving, including PRC and 3D PDF.

The solution is currently available as a limited release. A general release date set for early 2013 will also feature comparable services for the construction industry, including key construction-related formats
