Intergraph CADWorx DraftPro Now Compatible With AutoCAD 2013

Plant design solution users can generate components on the fly.

| Published November 2, 2012

Intergraph has released an updated version of CADWorx DraftPro that provides full compatibility with AutoCAD 2013. A free download, CADWorx DraftPro is the company's new AutoCAD-based intelligent 2D plant design and layout solution that is specification driven, with hundreds of ready-to-use specifications in metric and imperial formats and over 60,000 piping components.

Users can generate components on-the-fly as they are needed, and the built-in intelligence takes the guesswork out of placing piping components, the company says. Designers can quickly draw elevations and sections of layouts and produce accurate, customizable bills of material of the design.

CADWorx DraftPro uses piping specifications that are compatible with CADWorx Plant Professional, and it works with all versions of AutoCAD currently supported by Autodesk. If a user decides to move to 3D design, they can convert CADWorx DraftPro specifications and models to CADWorx Plant Professional.
