3D3 Solutions announced the official release of the HDI Blitz 3D scanning system, which captures digital 3D scans from physical objects in seconds, the company says.
"With the success of developing advanced 3D scanning systems, we found that there is a strong demand for a simple, easy-to-use 3D scanner without sacrificing the quality of 3D scans," said Thomas Tong, president of 3D3 Solutions. "The focus of the HDI Blitz is to make 3D scanning technology more accessible. It doesn't require advanced technical skills to operate the system and it is fast to get the HDI Blitz up and running." The HDI Blitz requires minimal setup: users just need to plug in the system and install the accompanying software. The 3D scanner uses white light 3D scanning technology that scans an object without any direct contact to ensure there is no measurement interference. The system captures a 3D scan in one second and generates more than a million data points (two million polygons) per scan.
