VRMesh v7.5 Released for Point Cloud, Mesh Processing

Updates improve accuracy and efficiency of large point cloud triangulation.

| Published September 24, 2012

VirtualGrid announced the availability of VRMesh v7.5, the latest version of its 3D point cloud and mesh processing software. VRMesh provides a solution covering the complete workflow from automatic point cloud classification to accurate surface mesh generation, the company says. The new release is focused on high accuracy and efficiency in triangulation of large point clouds.

Data reading speeds have increased in the new solution. VRMesh has reorganized the structure of data reading that allows users to quickly retrieve inquiring points into the window. The interaction time of an indexed file has been increased, as well.

Point cloud classification is more accurate, and the triangulation method has been redesigned for handling large datasets in excess of 100 million points with high accuracy and efficiency. Non-manifold edges have been significantly reduced, as well, and NURBS creation has been enhanced.
