IntegrityWare, Inc. Announces SOLIDS++ 5.0

Geometric kernel library supports new formats and graphic system interfaces.

IntegrityWare has released version 5.0 of its SOLIDS++ geometric modeling kernel library. SOLIDS++ version 5.0 contains new features and enhancements to support deformable NURBS, surface unwrapping, and a new optimized mesh format that reduces the memory overhead for interfacing with graphics systems.

This update includes new versions of IntegrityWare's POPLib (version 9.0), MESHLib (version 9.0) and EXLib (version 2.0) libraries.

The deformable NURBS toolkit supports the application of deformation modifiers (such as bend, twist, scale, squeeze, taper, stretch, etc.). The surface unwrap tools support unwrapping surfaces and their features into a planar result. The surface unwrap tools can also be used to wrap planar features onto analytic surfaces. The new mesh format facilitates improved graphics performance and lower memory overhead, according to the company.

EXLib 2.0 improves upon the performance gains of the multithreaded library for tessellation and surface/point solvers. EXLib takes advantage of modern computing architectures with multiple processors.
