The CAD Society is accepting nominations of computer aided design (CAD) industry leaders, developers, professionals, and experts for the 2010 CAD Society Industry Awards.  The CAD Society Awards acknowledge individual contributions within the CAD and engineering software industry. Nominations need to be received by March 22, 2010, for consideration.

Each nomination needs to explain which award category the nominee should be considered in, and the reasons why the nominee deserves to be honored. Nominations need to be sent to kfeitz@yahoo.com

"Every year, professionals in the CAD and engineering software industries make amazing innovations and changes that affect our community," said Ken Feitz, CAD Society vice president. "The three awards the CAD Society presents every year is our way of recognizing those who have contributed to the CAD/CAM industry and we look forward to hearing what the community has to say."

Members of the CAD Society will vote on nominations received. The awards will be presented at COFES (Congress On the Future of Engineering Software), this year scheduled for April 15-18, 2010, in Scottsdale, AZ.

The CAD Society presents awards in three categories:

  • Joe Greco Community Award: For outstanding work in improving communication and developing community within the CAD industry.
  • Leadership Award: For outstanding technical and business leadership in the CAD industry, and focus and dedication to the needs of CAD users.
  • Lifetime Award: For a lifetime of outstanding technical and business contributions to the CAD industry.
