AccelerEyes (Atlanta, GA) released Jacket v1.0 – the GPU engine for MATLAB, marking the conclusion of a 7-month beta release cycle.

Thanks to support from Jacket’s beta users, the company says Jacket now supports a large number of MATLAB functions, each offering speed benefits. Jacket has also benefited from the addition of the Graphics Toolbox for improved visualizations.

This newer version of Jacket includes gfor (simultaneous for-loops on the GPU); trace saving (to avoid runtime kernel compilations); convn (for 3x3x3 kernels and 3D volumes); fftshift/ifftshift and interp2 are now supported, as is subscripting on logical data; and more.

For other changes and bug fixes, details about perpetual or group licensing, or upgrades to use many GPUs in a single system, please contact AccelerEyes.
