T-Splines, Inc. (Provo, UT) released T-Splines 1.4 for Rhino, which is available for download and installation. This upgrade is a free service release for current users.

T-Splines 1.4 for Rhino offers several enhancements, including a new command tsSurfacePoints, which introduces points that can be manipulated directly on the T-Splines surface; tsInsertPoint has a new option to insert a complete row of points; re-designed interface for tsExtend, whereby T-points are highlighted in user-definable color (default=blue); and converting a mesh to T-Splines is now scriptable.

And the bug fixes T-Splines 1.4 offers fixes an instance where SelU, SelV crashed Rhino when used on a T-Spline; an instance where the tsCrease command crashed; tsScriptExtrudeControlPolygon now explodes before extruding; the tsconvert bug fixed; a bug is fixed for converting a polygon mesh to a T-Spline (spikes were sent to origin); the tsskin crasher is fixed; escape or cancel in tsControlPolygonToSrf now cancels the command instead of executing the command; and tsImportOBJ now works with Unicode folder paths.

T-Splines for Rhino helps designers easily create and edit fluid, organic shapes for design and manufacturing. This plug-in, tightly integrated with Rhino 4, adds a suite of new surfacing tools to help designers speed up their design time, accomplish tasks that would be tedious or difficult in Rhino, and translate between subdivision surface modeling programs and Rhino.
