| Published December 5, 2008

NVIDIA’s (Santa Clara, CA) recent introduction of the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 ultra-high-end professional graphics card gives professionals a toolset that pushes the boundaries of realism, performance, and quality. It is said to give a performance boost to mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD), digital content creation (DCC), and broadcast applications. With advances in GPU architecture, added graphics memory and 30-bit color, the Quadro FX 4800 is equipped with 192 CUDAT parallel-computing cores, and delivers a 2x performance increase over previous generations of ultra-high-end graphics cards, says the company.

Key features in the Quadro FX 4800 (MSRP $1,999) include real-time visualization of large data sets, increased image quality, ultra-high color fidelity and resolutions, in addition to high-performance visualization.
