The latest high-tech rapid manufacturing innovation from CRP Technology (Modena, Italy) will be the topic of a session at Euro U-Rapid 2008: the International User’s Conference & Exhibition on Rapid Prototyping & Rapid Tooling & Rapid Manufacturing in Berlin at 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 23rd at Session S4 “Specials for Motor Sports and Aviation.”

CRP chairman and technical director, Eng. Franco Cevolini will present the latest research-study of the new ULTRArapid Casting technology, which was developed to offer exceptional reliability, fatigue resistance, lightness and high mechanical performance.

A fully dense and free-shape casting can now be delivered within 2 weeks, using ULTRArapid Casting.

In his talk, Eng. Cevolini will detail how a 2008 racing vehicle's structural component made by Aluminium ULTRArapid Casting performs. The new procedure coupled with the Polystyrene-based material Windform PS, also developed by CRP, allowed CRP Racing to develop 7 different releases of a 2 stroke engine within a very short timeframe.
