PowerLink XG has been developed with the latest Microsoft technologies.

| Published September 2, 2008

CCE (Farmington Hills, MI) announced PowerLink Version 5 (XG), the new release of its proprietary engineering work order management system, which is web-based and designed for timely, reliable, and secure communication and management of the offshore outsourcing program.

PowerLink Version 5 (XG) provides control, visibility, and accountability of the outsourcing team, mitigating the risk with working offshore.

PowerLink XG has been developed with the latest Microsoft technologies including ASP.NET AJAX, SQL server-side scripting, SOAP-based web services and an ergonomic, customizable user interface to deliver a highly secure (Thawte 128-bit encryption) transactional system.

Some of the new features in PowerLink XG are unified and secure login for in-the-office and on-the-road access and operation; manufacturing work order support to manage offshore manufacturing; asynchronous download manager to support data transfer using low bandwidth Internet connections, and background operation; ability to simultaneously manage multiple work orders without constant switching; enhanced user interface with features to simplify commonly used tasks; user-friendly installation to permit one-click install of the software; online updates to ensure software is always up-to-date on the users' desktop; and online help.

The desktop version has additional features including live support, native CAD data viewers, video recorder to record CAD/CAE application usage for training or communicating complex modeling tasks to remote teams, and seamless connection to upload data files directly into PowerLink work order.

PowerLink is an integrated feature of CCE's outsourcing model, and is available to all CCE's engineering services clients for no additional cost. CCE also provides free training on PowerLink usage for new users.
