ParaCloud for Parametric Design

Generative design software enables development of intricate design with efficiency and speed.

ParaCloud Modeler from ParaCloud (Tel-Aviv, Israel) is a powerful new tool for parametric design that enables the development of rich and intricate design with efficiency and speed. ParaCloud Modeler is a low cost software solution converting Microsoft Excel spreadsheets into a parametric modeler for design and architecture.

Signature projects often use repetition of complex shapes in some variations. Such repeating yet constantly changing elements can best be described using an algorithm. The mathematics that defines such shapes can be complex. ParaCloud Modeler is a breakthrough that allows users to use Microsoft Excel to drive 3D generative parametric design.

When matched with an affordable and powerful 3D freeform solid modeler, ParaCloud offers integration with Rhino, Bentley MicroStation V8/XM, and output to DXF and Maya MEL. ParaCloud Modeler powers design tools with behavior modeling and performance-driven design capabilities, increasing design and production efficiency. Based on a multi-layered matrix concept, ParaCloud is for n-dimensional data modeling and analysis. It creates a bidirectional link between numeric and graphic representations and allows driving multiple representations from a single logical model. ParaCloud bridges between various software used in a project and allows for poly-logical driven generative modeling.

Benefits include generative design with behavior modeling, performance based modeling, parametric components proliferation, surface and ribs unfolding for shop drawings, bidirectional link between numeric and graphic representations, multiple representation from a single logical model, bridges between various software used in a project, and developed on a common familiar platform (Microsoft Excel).
