ISV-certified Dell Precision mobile workstations offer mobility that provides freedom from business as usual.

| Published August 14, 2008

Dell (Round Rock, TX) announced at SIGGRAPH 2008 a new line of ISV-certified Dell Precision mobile workstations, the Dell Precision M4400 (starting at $1,569) and M2400 (starting at $1,449), which are optimized for workstation-class applications and offer a broad ranges of mobile form factors for performance-demanding customers in biosciences and engineering. The new Dell Precision M4400, M2400 and 17-in. concept ensure that customers can operate mission critical ISV applications smoothly, while simplifying mobile IT infrastructure.

The Dell Precision M4400 is a 15.4-in. mobile workstation featuring leading-edge Intel Extreme Edition processors, NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M graphics, up to 8GB of memory, and 7200RPM 320GB storage capacity with free fall sensor. The system is designed to support the upcoming Intel mobile quad core processor and future NVIDIA Quadro graphics.

The Dell Precision M2400 is a 14.1-in. mobile workstation that features Intel Core 2 Duo processors, NVIDIA Quadro FX 370M graphics, up to 8GB of memory, and up to 7200RPM 320GB storage capacity. Weighing just 4.77 lbs. (2.16kg), Dell's lightest mobile workstation is a system designed for the "on the go" workstation professional.

Plus, Dell previewed a next generation 17-in. mobile workstation concept designed to revolutionize productivity when using demanding applications with twice the cores and storage capacity of other similar products. With the upcoming Intel mobile quad-core mobile processor, the 17-in. mobile workstation concept has support for scalability up to 16GB of memory, RAID capability with up to 1 terabyte of storage and graphics with a 1GB frame buffer. These performance characteristics are featured in a blood orange anodized aluminum chassis and an edge-to-edge glass RGB LED display.

Dell's new M4400 and M2400 mobile workstations meet ENERGY STAR 4.0 guidelines and will be EPEAT Gold registered. They are compatible with all accessories for the new Dell Latitude E-Family.
