The "fix," completed in about 30 minutes, leaves all user data and applications intact. Currently the service supports Windows XP, with more operating systems coming soon, says the company. Reimage works by scanning the entire system including all files, folders, registry keys, values, drivers, and stacks. It then compares what it finds to an extensive database that includes millions of system objects, drivers, and applications. The service can also repair XP-based PCs that cannot boot up. Using a free, comprehensive Windows XP boot CD, technicians can run Reimage on severely damaged PCs to restore the Windows XP to an original, stable condition.
