Vero USA to Launch VISI 16 and PEPS 7 at IMTS 2008

Combination includes integrated surface and solid modeling, 2- to 5-axis machining strategies, and tools for plastic injection molds and progressive dies.

| Published July 11, 2008

Vero USA (Wixom, MI) will present the new VISI Rel. 16 and PEPS Rel 7 at the IMTS exhibition (to be held in Chicago September 8-13), which offer a combination of applications including fully integrated surface and solid modeling, comprehensive 2- to 5-axis machining strategies with high-speed routines, 2- and 4-axis EDM, and dedicated tools for plastic injection molds and progressive dies.

VISI 16 will include an updated user interface and enhancements to the CAD for electrode design, surface creation, annotation and product documentation for concurrent design. VISI Mold includes improved cooling circuit design; assembly explode management and an even tighter integration with VISI Flow.

VISI Progress, for 3D progressive die design, gains improvements in the unfolding of non linear edges, bending management outside of the parametric tree, blanking with constraint edge mapping, strip enhancements and a new feature manager.

VISI Machining is improved in the realms of automated machining using automatic feature recognition techniques directed towards automatic plate machining.

In PEPS 7, additions are in PEPS Wire (rotary axis support, enhanced wireframe simulation, multiple workpieces, support for twin wire machines, direct editing of the cutting setup pages), PEPS Pentacut/Tubecut (simplified user interface, optimized rapid moves, body to body transform), and PEPS 2D Laser (add OpenGL support, enhanced simulation).
