La Jolla-based ReverseEngineering.com (formerly HighRES Inc.) has introduced a powerful integrated CAD/CAM reverse engineering technology that enables users to view and model as they go. The HighRES Integrated Point Processor (HIPP) integrates digitized data directly from the PCMM into the native CAD/CAM application. HIPP automatically manages millions of points, and the user can introduce discrete points into the CAD application as native entities, according to ReverseEngineering.com executive Braxton Carter. "HIPP data can be used to build solids and surfaces as native features in real time," said Carter. At present, there are three HIPP modules: HIPP SHOP, HIPP PROFESSIONAL, and HIPP ULTIMATE. According to Carter, HIPP empowers the user through "easy data file save, three-point alignment, point ordering, and filtering and multiple-plane configurations."
