Silentium ActiveSilencer Fan Tray integrates into 19-in. enclosures.

| Published March 5, 2008

Silentium (Rehovot, Israel), the “Silence in a Chip” company, is offering OEMs and site managers an add-on noise reduction fan tray that fits into 19-in. rack cabinets used for servers, network and communications units, and similar equipment. The ASFTTM can fit into virtually every 19-in. rack-mount enclosure.

The ASFTTM provides active inlet and outlet ventilation by forcing air through the cabinet, while reducing noise. The tray is lined with acoustic material and features Silentium’s Active Noise Control (ANC) technology. The product combines passive and active noise reduction technologies. Noise reduction is up to 20dB(A).
