CNC Technology Debuts Two New Desktop Machines

| Published December 13, 2007

HICKORY, NC – CNC Technology has added two new machines to the desktop CNC market, Charly 2U and Charly 4U.  These machines offer high precision and repeatability at an affordable price while in a convenient size.

The Charly machines are perfect for plastics, foams and soft metals.  These 3-axis machines are also ideal for many different industries with applications ranging from prototype work, jewelry applications, modeling, electronics and engraving. Both Charly machines have a 4-axis option and multiple spindle options.

The work area on the 4U is 8” x 12” with 6” Z travel. The 2U machine has a 16” x 23” work area with 11” of Z travel. Both desktop machines have a fully enclosed work area with safety lockouts on the door and spindle. The machines also come standard with an extruded aluminum Tslot table. The hood of the machine provides a full 180 degree viewing area and a well-lit work area. The machines both operate off 110 volts and have serial communications to the computer.
