Visualize a New IDL

ITT and VNI partner to bring statistical and mathematical library into IDL platform.

ITT Visual Information Solutions (Boulder, CO), today, August 17,announced it has reached an agreement with Visual Numerics, Inc. (VNI;Houston, TX) to integrate VNI's IMSL C Numerical Library into its IDLapplication development platform for data visualization and analysis. The integrationof the IMSL Library extends IDL's analysis and visualizationfunctionality with sophisticated and scalable mathematical andstatistical functions for high-performance analytics.

ITT will immediately begin to integrate the IMSL Library withIDL, with the intent of providing seamless access to IMSL mathematicaland statistical functions. The integration will enableIDL programmers to embed IMSL functions and algorithms intotheir existing applications as well as new applications.
